Hey everyone! Check out these videos showcasing the shader I created in #octane for #blender to render edges on an organic model. I love the way the light travels on the surface and how clean the edges look. Plus, it's super fast to render! No need for any normal editing, by the way! What do you think? Let me know in the comments! #3DModeling #Blender3D #OctaneRender #3DAnimation #CGI #anime #toonshader #characterdesign #art #3d #anatomy

I've been working on a new Blender addon designed to make driver creation much faster and more intuitive. Simply choose a source, select a channel, define the minimum and maximum values, and create the driver in seconds. The addon supports bone-driven setups, corrective bones, shape keys, corrective morphs, and more. Drivers can also be assigned custom names, making them easier to manage in complex rigs. This is still a work in progress, but it's already proving to be a huge time saver in my daily workflow. Coming soon! #Blender #b3d #Blender3D #BlenderAddon #Rigging #CharacterRigging #Animation #TechnicalArtist #CGI #3DArt #Anime #3DAnimation #GameDev #Driver #Drivers #ShapeKeys #Rig #Workflow #Productivity #OctaneRender #OTOY

Mixing Texture Displacements in OctaneRender for Blender What if you could blend multiple displacement maps with full control — without breaking scale, detail or shading? In this setup I’m mixing different texture sources inside a custom node group, driving height and amount independently, and keeping everything physically consistent. The result: ✔ sharper micro details ✔ controlled height blending ✔ zero artifacts ✔ full artistic control Octane’s displacement system is incredibly powerful when you stop thinking in terms of “one map per material”. Texture Displacement + procedural noise + smart mixing = next level surface control. More advanced Octane setups coming soon. — If you’d like a breakdown of the node group, let me know 👇 #OctaneRender #OTOY #Blender3D #BlenderArtist #3DRendering #CGI #Displacement #3dartist #digitalartists

A fully procedural moon crater. No sculpting. No heightmaps. Everything you see is generated through displacement and procedural nodes in OctaneRender for Blender. #blender #octanerender #3drendering #3dart #3dartist #b3d #lunar #space #spaceart #themoon #scifi #nasa #artemis #fyp #trending

3D vs AI. Top image: terrain generated with Vectron in OctaneRender for Blender. Bottom image: reinterpretations created with Krita AI Diffusion. Let me be clear. I’m generally against generative AI when it replaces the artist. Typing a prompt and getting a finished image is not my idea of creativity. But this is a different scenario. The geometry, composition, camera, lighting and framing are entirely mine. The AI isn’t inventing the scene — it’s interpreting a render I created in 3D. In this workflow the AI becomes something different: a tool that can suggest visual improvements that can then be brought back into the 3D scene. By analyzing what the AI does with the image, it’s possible to understand how to improve the original work directly in 3D. In that sense, the AI is not replacing the artist — it’s helping the artist improve. My goal is to push both directions until 3D and AI converge and become visually indistinguishable. And then ask a deliberately uncomfortable question: Does the process still matter? I believe it does. Because the process is where intention, growth and authorship truly live. #OctaneRender #Blender3D #Blender #Vectron #Krita #stablediffusion #3DArt #Octane #CGI #OTOY #aiartcommunity #AIArt
