La terza regola del @wfto è “Pratiche commerciali equo solidali”. Queste pratiche si basano sul rispetto dei produttori e dei contratti, il rispetto dei tempi di produzione e il pre finanziamento del 50% del valore dell’ordine che si fa con il produttore. Questo prefinanziamento da la possibilità a piccoli artigiani di acquistare i materiali per fare la produzione. Una volta ricevuti i beni acquistati e controllato che siano consoni a quanto richiesto si procede con il saldo del pagamento che consente ai produttori di non rimanere finanziariamente esposti per troppo tempo. Nel caso della moda questo atteggiamento è molto diverso da quello che accade normalmente dove i brand devono a volte aspettare fino a 90 giorni dopo la consegna dell’ordine per essere pagati. The third rule of the @wfto is “Fair Trade Practices.” These practices are based on respect for producers and contracts, adherence to production deadlines, and pre-financing of 50% of the order value with the manufacturer. This pre-financing allows small artisans to purchase the materials needed for production. Once the purchased goods are received and verified to be compliant with the requirements, the final payment is made, preventing producers from remaining financially exposed for too long. In the case of fashion, this approach is very different from what normally happens, where brands sometimes have to wait up to 90 days after order delivery to be paid.

Giving them market access, fair payments, and solid contracts is the first step towards a more fair trade.
