David Hogg here. Quick update from the quiet train: I'm headed to visit some of our campaigns, and I wanted to tell you something I don't think gets said enough. Winning isn't making this easier. It's making it harder. We've doubled the number of candidates we're backing this cycle, and we poured almost everything we had into helping them win. That's why we've burned through so much of our budget just as the toughest stretch of the cycle begins. Now dark money groups are gearing up to spend even more. They know we're building something real, and this is their best chance to stop us before we grow any stronger. The only reason we've been able to compete is because people like you chipped in $5 or $10 at a time. If you've ever thought, "Someone else will donate," I get it. But it’s when enough of us think, “I can give $5” and donate, that we start making real change. Please read my note and, if you can, chip in $5.
