🇮🇹 Thinking about buying a home in Italy? Here’s what I would recommend that I learned through the process: ✨ Pick your vibe first. Coastline, countryside, city, or small town? If you don’t narrow this down, your search could take forever. 🤍 Find the right agent. A local agent who understands foreign buyers is GOLD. (DM me if you’d like my recommendation!) 💶 Know your financing. Cash = faster. Loans in Italy can be more complicated, and U.S. banks typically won’t finance Italian property purchases. 🤌 Expect negotiation. Making an offer is part strategy, part patience, and a lot of Italian charm. 🏡 Ask for EVERYTHING. Seriously. Light fixtures, appliances, cabinets—you name it. If it’s not in writing, don’t assume it’s staying. I learned this the hard way and walked into a house with wires hanging from the ceiling. 😅 🛋️ Furnishing takes time. Be prepared for multiple shopping trips, custom orders, and waiting weeks for deliveries. Patience is part of the process! Would I do it all again? Absolutely. 🇮🇹❤️ “What’s your dream Italian location—Tuscany, Lake Como, Amalfi Coast, Sicily, or somewhere else? Tell me below! ⬇️🇮🇹”
