Reality is subjective, as are our experiences. The stoics pointed out that how we react to events are more important than the events themselves. This goes beyonf the moment, as we can reframe our past, while also altering our perception of the present, in time creating a future in which we are more fulfilled, and less burdened by the pain of existence.

“Now part of my daily routine.” Humbling words from @drdrewpinsky When I started developing the hydrogen tablet technology, I was doing it in my kitchen, with a mortar and pestle and hand press, and I was doing it to try to address my own issues. Now, my technology has global patents, regulatory approvals, 21 structure-function claims, a couple dozen clinical trials, and we’re making 40 million doses a month and counting. Sometimes I need to step back and ask myself if it’s real. I question how someone with no formal education, and no family money could possibly develop a health-related technology used by millions, including high-profile athletes, Doctors, and celebrities. How I could publish 20+ papers and counting through peer review in academic journals. Could be invited to speak at academic conferences-and collaborate with universities around the world. It sounds unbelievable-and I’m certain many in the comments will claim as much. If you’re a skeptic, great. Stick around. Listen to what I have to say. If I’m wrong on something, let me know-you may be surprised at how I’ll respond.

We need to start making some choices, as individuals, and collectively. Will we continue descending into a dystopian nightmare, one in which the external framing of our lives is overwhelmingly positive, all the while the internal reality is increasingly toxic and crumbling? Or will we confront reality, tackle the hard questions about what is truly sick, what has gone wrong, and what we need to abandon in modern society? The choice is each of ours, but collectively, all of ours.
There is no singular rule that can help you with your personal productivity goals. "Eating the frog first" will fail if your frog is insurmountable on days where your energy and motivation are low. Creating a habit of always starting easy and building, regardless of your motivation levels, will rob you of progress on days where you could have jumped straight into your frog. The solution is to learn about your nature, capabilities, and become more attune with your ever changing self. It's more challenging, but worth it. But remember, it requires being honest with yourself, and that requires constant and deep self reflection. Do you have what it takes to create an autonomous mind that isn't reliant on external direction?
As with basically everything, there is no simple rule that works for all people, all the time. If you are following one of these rules.. the "perfect" protocol for productivity, time management, finance, or health... the person you're following likely either doesn't really understand what they're talking about, or decided to provide a simple message in order to convert followers and revenue, at the expense of truth and accuracy.
